ACS inks Florida Medicaid enrollment services deal
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will deliver counseling and broker enrollment services for Medicaid in Florida under a two-year pilot program worth $12 million. Under the contract, ACS will help Medicaid recipients choose and join plans and furnish program outreach, education and counseling. The Dallas company intends to use a multifaceted approach to educate participants and enable them to efficiently navigate their health plan choices. The Florida Health Care Administration Agency awarded the contract and will oversee the pilot project in five counties. ACS offers business processing and IT outsourcing to the commercial and government sectors. The company, which has more than 5,500 employees and annual revenue of $4.3 billion, ranks No.
Chamber will host recap of '06 session
BRADENTON - The Manatee Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 2006 Legislative Roundtable Recap luncheon focusing on the results of the 2006 legislative session. Invited speakers include State Sens. Mike Bennett, Lisa Carlton and Les Miller; and state Reps. Donna Clarke, Bill Galvano, Frank Peterman Jr. and Ron Reagan. New West appoints chief exec
HELENA - David Kibbe will take over as chief executive officer of New West Health Services in September, its board of directors has announced. Kibbe has served as president of Excellent in HealthCare in Fairfax Station, Va., since 1999 and also as president of IBA Health Plans of Kalamazoo, Mich., since 2001. During his 25-year career, Kibbe has been chief executive officer, president and vice president for such health care companies as Inova Health System, PacifiCare Health Systems, Towers Perrin, Maxicare Health Plans Inc., Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Inc. and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. "David is an experienced, talented and visionary leader who will bring substantial contributions to New West," said board chairman David Henry of Havre. Henry said the New West directors are excited at the prospect of Kibbe "leading New West's talented management team to provide access to high-quality providers and services through affordable health care coverage for more Montanans." Kibbe has a bachelor's degree in accounting and labor relations from Drexel University and a master's in business administration from the Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
